Spiders 101 and Roomie!!

So spiders....all i can say is that me and my roomate both do not like them at all! and there was soo many in our room last night, and so we got Katie who went through our bathroom and killed all of them!! it was awesome! however there was  a really big one up in the doorway that hid so we couldnt get it....were gonna get spider spray or somthing just so that they stay away!! it seems no one else is seeing them its prolly cause im quite observant when it comes to spiders in my room. i now have a habit of shaking out my clothes before putting them on...anyways me and Rachel are gonna get a vaccum or something and do every single corner of our room and just vaccum up those spiders and webs!!
Rachel!! she is amazing!! we have soo much in common like its insane!! she is a runner and soccer player like me!! and we also like all sports and reading, and video games etc... and its sooo weird how similar we are but its soo awesome!! shes really easy to get along with to. and this afternoon were prolly gonna go shopping with kelsey to get stuff to spruce up our little room which should be fun!
So a sunday breakfast is serve yourself than do your own dishes. there was cereal and bananas and hashbrowns...me, rebecca, katie, and rachel all had cereal and it was stale!! no joke. good but kinda stale. well gotta get ready for church! cheers!

First "unofficial" Day

Heyyo! so im here and im loving it. despite the spiders, im handling myself. The people going to school with me are awesome, they are so chill and soo crazy. :) people are still arrriving, my roomate should be here soon...and what did i do today...well went for my first official costa rica run :) manage to make a mile. and than we pretty much just chilled and hanged and partied it up all day :P tomorow were gonna go to church. that should be intresting!! but im stoked! ill tell you all their names when i figure them out...it seems that as soon as i get a grasp on them more ppl come lol. but its sweet! food is pretty decent, and it was sooooo hot this morning but beautiful when i went for a run. and than at like 1, it was raining and than kinda have rained all day, but not cold at all! still good temp! wearing shorts and t-shirt despite it raining, not cold at all which is awesome! i did use sunscreen though :P and it gets really dark here early but its sweet. anyways im off to chill with everyone! update later! cheerio!

Portantorchas finally...

Here! :) It's awesome. The campus is beautiful and theres a track and a soccer field and just beautiful. I'll take pictures soon! and everyone here so far is really nice and more info on them later. Steven picked me and Christena up (shes from Ontario) and that was cool to met her at the airport. There's just so much im trying to asorb in and my room is pretty decent. sharing with one other girl. o ya so spider i saw today, it was black, fast and jumpy. so scary!! lucky kelsey saved me :) Actually the weather when I arrived was raining. But despite the rain its sooo nice outside right now and not cold in any way! Trying to speak spanish is gonna be fun....thats for sur. I've already tried to practice speaking with this guy but I kinda failed lol. But i'll pick it up sooner or later!! Today is the first day for ppl to arrive and more will come tomorow and sunday. my roommate aint coming until tomrow at like 6:30 or something like that. The trees and vegetation here are awesome and theirs bunnies :) there soo cute! theres 6 of them currently running around portantorchas and its awesome! However i'm quite impressed with what I could understand reading the signs coming here. Ya...ill take pics soon and put them on fb but today prolly wont really take any! I love it here already and did i mention its beautiful!?!?! cheers!

2 flights down, 1 to go!

So made it to Texas! And found out I have 45min of complementary wi fi :) so better make the most of it!! anyways the flight was decent...got some z's so that was good! oh and for the first time ever....i sat beside a good looking young guy! but it was middle of the night we were travelling so we were too tired to talk :P so onyl a bit of convo...but still first time! hahaha. Currently sitting in E6 where i"ll be leaving :) omg, its soo close I'm sooo excited!! So apparently one of the staff(Steven) is picking me up and i get picked up with this other girl so it"ll be nice not be alone!! This airport is pretty decent, lots of texican(yes that was a name in the airport) food lol! So as I was sitting in the plane and i looked out the window in the morning, one side was beautiful colors like orange, yellow, peach that fades into white. it was soo pretty and ironically enough the other window had gray, dark, depressing skys lol. anyhoo i was reminded of God's beauty and this verse popped into my head..."The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands" Psalm 19 verse 1-2. Well don't know how much time I have left so peace! Cheers! ....almost there :) !!! Leave at 9:10 and get there at 11:40!!!

Away I go/Stuck In Seattle

Well I'm officially off. Flight left a tiny bit late but that's okay as I have a looonnngg time to wait for my next one. Oh, so I totally took a train for my first time in an airport! it was so awesome :) But they didnt have what gate i was supose to board from on my ticket...that was fun to find but now I'm currently sitting at B11 where my flight is taking off from and just had a lovely meal well as good as they can get in an airport. And totally used my visa debit for the first time! ya...thats exciting to me, right about now anything excites me. I'm just sooo glad they have wifi here and its free :) i wont die of boredom which is sweet! I'm really stoked about that! but still I'm stuck here for a long time, i wish i could get to Houston quicker...theres one flight leaving for it right about now! i should of soo got that one. o well. its still very exciting! however I'm quite homesick right now and i miss everyone but I'm sur that will pass!!....i hope! off to Houston and than San Jose :) its all coming so quick! i can't believe that I'm already on my way there. I'm really really nervous but so stoked as well! Cheers!

Down to the Wire!

Got home from cranbrook today, and it was a delightful drive and so in less than 24 hours I will be off! It's so exciting but really nerve whacking as well. I finally packed..well almost I'm just waiting for some clothes to dry and than i will be officially done...i sure hope though that I'm not over 50 pounds :s I'm close...but I'm leaving at 3:25pm my flight takes off and i will be flying from kelowna to Seattle(8hr wait in airport :S) to Houston and than to San Jose! I sure hope I have Internet and its free in Seattle cause 8 hrs is a looonnnggg time! About to go out for a family dinner! :) I'm sooo excited Nick is here to see me off! It will be nice having the whole family there! Plus other friends of mine will be there :) Cheers!

2 days left! :)

Yay for first timers in the blog business...that's me! So its 2 days until I leave for Costa Rica! So stoked and excited! I'm currently visiting my dad right now and I will get home tomorrow, and that will probably the most stressful day for me as I haven't packed at all. But i know what i need to pack and where I'm gonna stuff it so it will be just fine and dandy...i hope. I'm going to be in Costa Rica soon and it will be very peachy!(that's my new favorite word). However I am also so nervous, I'm good with the travelling aspect of it but going to school where most of the classes are in spanish as I've been told...well that should be intresting in itself. I'm just hoping to be able to pick up the language quickly. Cheers!
