Transistion Change

So finally made it home at 12:30 at night and passed out hardcore. it was such a emotional, physically exhasutive week and so in the morning went to the school, my work place to visit peeople, bank to transfer money and to kelowna to take care of my orthodontist appointment! i no longer have to wear my retainer during the day :) and hung out with laura and kayla for a while and than went to youth and hung out with the youth leaders and gave a talk to the youth about my time in costa rica! after went to lauras house and had a sleepover with laura and kayla. got up early and packed and than we were on the road to cranbrook. so i stepped off the plane and i was freezing! soo different from costa rica and i frooze and it has made me soft. i thought kelowna was bad, but cranbrook is freezing!! sucha major temperature change and it was also werid to see white ppl, hear english and not see bars on the doors and windows and having everything locked up like in san jose. big change for me and it was culture shock. it really made me see how lucky we are to live in a place like canada and not having to be scared to go out at night more or less. its just a huge change in every sense. i no longer am surrounded by 30 ppl and it feels so werid to be bymyself in this house. i dont like it overally too much, i prefer to have ppl around me but meh its life! still in transisiton as im freeznig and just want to get warm! but that is were im at currently in my time in canada. i dont know how often i will update while im here but ill try to give some here and there! cheers! :)

Travelling Home Day!

So got up at 5:30am and left around 5 to the airport, me, austin, jayda and kate were all on the same flight to houston! woo! it was pretty good but our seats were oppoiste! jayda and austin were at the back left and we(me and kate) were at the front right but it was still good and me and kate sat beside this lady and Kate ended up talking about religion and God and stuff and found she shes from amsterdam, and doesnt belive in a God! so she and kate chatted abou that and other things and it was very awesome that kate got to spread the word of the Lord! :) so i hope that a seed gets planted in her heart! made it houston, kate had to book it as she had an hr to get through customs and picking up luggage adn stuff! she missed her flight however and so he got another that same day though so thats nice! going though customs was sups long! and after me and jayda and austin went to this seafood place and wanted to try alligator, so he got some and shared some with me and jayda and it tasted like chicken! not bad at all! than we found out that it was 2:20 and that was my boarding time so we booked it to gate C, which is farther than we thought! we had to go on a train thing to get there and i almost missed it! luckily they just finished boarding when i got there and so i made it on safe and sound! now currently in the seattle airport and my flight doesnt leave until 10:50. all together ive calcuated that im going to have about 16 hrs travel time alone today! its insane, im almost home and its just to bad i have to wait so long! but o well, should be good. oh adn im really homesick right now for Porta! i really wanna be there again and see everyone. miss them soo much! but i know that we will see each other again someday! whether it be here on earth on in heaven! and that was my flight day! cheers :)

The Final Weekend

So this weekend starting on friday was when people started to leave! first it was stephanie and she was the only one on friday, we hung out and had a fire and chilled and it was very fun and relaxing, stayed up till 12 and got up early to see christoph and nina off at 3 than got up at 5 to see sam and the other steph off, went back to bed, got up for breakfast and hung out with everyone, at 10 saw Ethan, Becca, Christena and Abby off and than, went to nova centro and ate at McD's there, and i now have enough money to get out of this country! 28$ is the exit fee. Stayed up until 12 again, made bannack, played telephone pictionary and had a nice fire going :) very nice! and than me and adair chatted for a bit and than up at 4:30 so that at 5 saw Adair, Darren, Deborah, Alicia and Cody and than came back, couldnt really sleep so i had a shower, ate some breakfast, put up pics, skyped with Becca :) for an hr with everyone who was here, it was totally awesome! saw Kiley and Adam off, they had to leave Porta at 9:45 and now back here, had lunch a bit earlier. outside too! it was soo sunny and nice :) went up to the balcony and sang worship songs. it was so awesome, sunny and hot with a light breeze and light rain falling down, once it started to rain harder we went inside and played dutch blitz! we want to watch a movie so we went over to Don Marco's house and got Elf and Enchanted! It was fun! Than Jose asked if anyone wanted to go watch a soccer game with Don Marco and me and austin said yes so we went to watch saprissa aganist la liga! so awesome :) first ever live soccer game thats proffessional and it was schweet. i got some pics and videos and it was just soo awesome wayy to end the sem! im stoked! couldnt ask for a better way!! woo! tonight were planning on wathcing movies and making bannack and so it should be fun. leave Porta at 5am tomorow and my flight takes off at 7:55am!! cheers!

Graduation Day!

So it was graduation on thurs. and it was amazing! The morning we had a baptism and that was fun! jose and adrianna got baptized and than we just chilled until 2 when the sala area was close to get set up and everyone than got ready. crazy afternoon, supper was at 6 and they really fancied the place up. it was sooo pretty. so gorgeous. and we had a nice meal with the staff serving us and than after we had time to take pictures and just hang out until the clean up was done. after everyone went to the sala and kelsey gave a small message and than Don Marco and Tom handed out the certificates and everyone went up there, and Iiego and Isa read the verses we chose out in english and spanish and than we, if we wanted to say something we could and so i managed to be able to and it was not to bad, i acutally spoke clearly and slowly and didnt overally freeze! such a improvement from the first time i punlic spoke in front of everyone! after we prayed for first sem, second sem and returning students and after that it was dessert! :) soo good! and after it was one crazy dance party. we blasted the music and partied it up. danced soo much! it was soo fun! and than Diego came at 11 and told us to turn down the music since 10 was quiet hr! went to bed around 12 and woke up to see steph off as she was leaving port at 5 and that was a Portantorchas Fall 2011 Graduation! happy yet bittersweet at the same time well cheers!

The Final Days!

So Tuesday came around and we had our ministry presentations and that was good to see all the different ones. After it was pretty chill, we are hanging out a lot and just trying to spend as much time as possible together under the fire and christmas tree! we had until 12 am to finish our projects and we also had family night! :) so fun! we just ate nachos and chips, brownies and chatted! good bonding time :) on wed we had work day and i was doing the pisos with jayda and rebecca t and that was fun! my camineta partner was sam and that was good! in the afternoon around 2 we had a little group bonding activity. for 4.5 hrs we went around the circle and said nice stuff about each other. it could of gone on longer but we had to cut it shorter than we wanted just because of time and what not but it was a very lovely wayy to just say what we wanted to everyone and it was very nice. i love the people here, they are so amazing and just like my family. wed evening we had a talent show and that was very entertaining! we got some talented ppl here! and after we went into the kiosko and watched a video that jose and austin made. all through the sem austin got so much stuff on film and than made it into a 27 min video! good promo video and the stuff is sooo funny! those guys stayed up all night to make it getting maybe 40 minutes max of sleep! me and christoph than tried to attempt to make a fire and it took forever to get good and finally when it was getting good at like 11:55pm we had to get ready to pour water on it because 12 is curfew so that was fun. o ya, nina and christioph came this week to visit and hang out with usand that was soo awesome so im enjoying my time with them! and today we are getting ready for graduation. and its gonna be crazy! me and becca slept through 6am breakfast with don marco as he finished john. it was taking place in the boathouse with fish and bread and we missed it, but o well, and than steph came and got us for breakfast, it was at 8 and she got us at 8:05 and so we missed the prayer time and so we had to breakfast dishes, it was great. since adair was gone with her family, doing a sleep over thing at jorges house, me and becca stayed up until just pass 12:30 talking about stuff and she slept in adairs bed and it was awesome! soccer is taking place today at 1:30 after dishes adn prolly for an hr and a half and than graduation time! cant believe its already here! so insane. so bittersweet! exciting yet sad because ppl are starting to leave tomorow! but the sala and kitchen area are going to be blocked off at 2 so than we cant go in there until supper so that should be intresting what it looks like. today is going to be a insane day, thats all i can really say. we also(yesterday) made affirmation cards and put all our names on it and so we can all sign and say stuff to ppl, and thats awsome beaucse its always nice to get that. so im currently sitting here in front of the fire wathcing ppl write in different cards while im doing this. we also have a sheet up with our addreess, phone numbers, email etc..and we are putting our skype on there as well so it should hopefully be easish to keep in touch! cheers :)

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday to Monday, Monday, Monday

Sunday was fun. went to the early morning service at vida abudante again, that was nice and carlos drove us so that made it even better! last sunday service there until next sem! seems so werid knowing that next sunday ill be in my church in Canada! its trippy!! got back and its like 9:30 so got the whole rest of the day to party it up! played guitar a bit, hung out. in the evening it was sunday night worship and i played my first worship song :) even though i only used the down wards strums cause up was too difficult it was pretty decent. i got adair to film me and so it will be up on fb! o btw, the joke that i couldnt tell you. well it failed anyways, put exlax in austin's drink but it didnt work on him! too bad! lol. but at least adair managed to get it in there and so that was pretty swell! been staying up soups late the last week and planning this week because its the end and so i wanna spend time with everyone! so on monday we had class on john and than after lunch i went to san jose and that was fun. got a really pretty blue scarf! and than came back, uploaded photos and i had a lovley skype conversation with my brother today :) and that was awesome just to catch up and get updated in each others lives. called the claim insurance place yesterday, talked to a guy named Joshua and it was pretty sweet. talked about costa rica for a bit and what not and than he sent me the claims forms and so now gotta fill them out again but i think ill send them when im in canada..hopefully it gets there faster. so 2 claim forms in 4 months, not too bad for me considering im accident prone! lol. now currently playing dutch blitz and been playing for a while! so fun! but as the night goes on, we get slower and slower but than thats to be expected at 11:50pm at night! lol. curfew soon! cheers :)

2nd Last Week of This Sem! Wed-Sat

So Wed came rolling around and instead of camineta and work day..well the staff had a surprise for us! go karts :) woop! so exciting, never done them before. so went to the go-kart place and had a tounrmanet type thing. somehow i made it into the finals against austin, diego, jorge, adam and jose. it was the most intense battle ever! so fun. but they all beat me! but i ended up 6th place which is awesome! out of everyone so i felt pretty proud of myself, represented the chikas. in the afternoon it was free for all and some girls went to get their hair and eyebrows done. i never went because i had other stuff to do. and in the evening it was a class on minor prophets which is our own time assigment. than just hung out late and chilled after
and than on thurs, we had the morning to work on the minor prophet assignment and than the afternoon was free! woo! in the evening for family night, we went out to the mall and ate out and hung out and played some games at the arcade, it was very fun! DDR is awesome :D
and on friday, went to jaco with my small group :) im in clari's group and we went with diego(her husband), his small group so it was girls and guys together for small group half day and we went surfing. :) however the waves sucked mucho! and they were too strong and fast and you just couldnt get out far enough to acutally get a chance to surf, so that wasnt realy fun, at least it was sunny out so that was nice! banged up my foot again a bit! not fun but it doesnt hurt right now so thats nice! Came back and there was a ministry going on, the kids home came here and so than i ended up teaching a girl the cords i know on the guitar and it was super cool! first student i had even though im just learning! it was sweet! and than in the evening, we hung out and had a fire and just relaxed and played some games.
sat came rolling around and i went to walmart and best brand(shoe store) with some of the girls and i got some coffee and a pair of shoes :) i needed one! and it was only like 8 bucks ish! such a good deal! and than came back and didnt do much, in the evening there was a fire going and we played murder games more or less, kinda ironic. we played mafia and wink murder and than we totally did tim tam slams! :) best things ever! it was only me and jayda who knew them! that was good to teach ppl how to do them. than went to bed but woke up in the middle of the night scratching my leg, it was awful :S its getting so worst! so itchty and so hard not to scratch it. but im getting by. that was my week! cheers! :)

Nov.14 - 15, 2011

On Mon, it was just an ordinary day, just without classes. we had a evalluation about the sem to do but than other than that we had zip :) hung out and played guitar some more, and in the evening instead of having class we watched a movie instead! Letters to God, such a good movie! i def reccomeend it! had frozen onix or this banana smoothie thing with popcorn and it was soo good. On Tue we had our first class on minor prophets, its going to be a self study class and so we just got explained whats happening and what to do. we got to pick our own and i picked obediah. should be intrestnig because i know lickilty split about him! went to san jose in the afternoon and got everything needed for gifts :) i just need to buy coffee now than im fully done. Had our 2nd last family small group as well and so that was fun. had supper dishes becuase im on lunch but since we were leaving to san jose right after lunch i had to find a sub, and so austin took mine and i took his supper dishes and after supper there was a class on john and we managed to get through 3 chapters! amazing, for that class lol. than i was exhasuted so i went to bed! cheers :)

Sunday, Nov.13th

Went to the early service at vida abudante and than chilled for a bit and relaxed and hung out wiht ppl than after lunch did the same thing more or less but I made KD after lunch and it was soo good :) man imissed it. and than went to diego's and clari's house to bake cookies for ministry and so that was fun! oatmeal chocolate chip :) sooooooo good! and than waited for pablo to show up for my guitar lesson but he didn;t and sent me a message saying he wasn't good and what not so it was esta bien. and he sent me a instrcutional video for mighty to save and so ive been practcing that and im acutally getting half decent! u can kind of tell what song im playing and so on thurs I hope for him to instrct me but for the most part the video he gave me is awesome and ive been learning soo much! :) and than after supper we had worship which was awesome and we just shared what God has been doing in our lives here, during the missions trip etc...and so that was nice and there was a fire going so that made it even awesomeer! After just hung out by the fire and adam and jose were scaring heather and kelsey for whatever reason and that was intertaining and than me and becca went to the dorm sala and hung out, cuddled and chatted and it was awesome with chocolate chips! cheers :)

Nov.11-12 (Bible School Pranks 102, Action Shots/Fire - complements of guys and Jaco Beach)

So pranks, well there have been minor ones going on but a major one is when austin stuck food coloring in some face mask cream stuff and tanis gave it to adair and so her face turned pink, as well as her hands. so the girsl decided to attempt to die his hair. First by the kiosko they tried but he evaded them and than while he was in the computer room skyping they attempted and did get it on his head but he went and washed it off immedatly. But they didn't get up hope. They roped in Cody to give them austin's shampoo bottle and they filled it with some hair dye and well it didn't work. so the girls don't know what else currently to do to austin as nothing seems to faze him and he gets them really good! there is one they have that there going to one of the guys here but I can't say it because they havnt done it yet but when it happens, I will report on it. and so
friday came around and finished class, finished my paper on Colossians, and went to the girls hang out thing at Clar's place. So fun! than in the evening we were just hanging out in the sala and the guys decided to do action shots...so they put a mattress on the floor and jumped and did random stuff in the air...and danced some too and it was very entertaining!! got some decent pics that will be up soon. There crazy. Than they had this fire thing and they put a fire in it and attempted to burn up... First it was austin's leg for whatever reason and than austin and jose tried to get their hands on fire and used rubbing alchol so that it would work better. Got some videos of it and so I don't know what was going on in their brains but ya typical guys :p
And today went to Jaco Beach. It's about a two hr drive and there was a bunch of us that went, left around 8 and started surfing around 1 as that was the time it was good to. got tips from fresia's husband randall and that was very nice. we rented 3 boards between 10 girls and so we each had some time with it. Randall taught me and gave me pointers in the water and it was soooooo freakin fun! omg, loved it! got up a couple times :) mostly made it to my knees and some well I didn't even make it! but first day ever surfing! always wanted to go! and bam, it was in costa rica :) how awesome is that!??! I think it's sweet. Used other ppl's boards when they wanted a break so I got lots of practice in. such a fun day. so exhausted though. it really uses up a lot of energy! and i mean a lot...im gonna feel it tomorow. Nov.6-10

Missed some days, been busy. Sunday there was no worship, no guitar practice either :( but o well i have this sunday coming up :)didn't do much, hung out chilled like usual. oo the card game thats now popular is scum/president...there are many names for it. but monday we started a new class on colossians and it was my 2nd last ministry day! talked to the kids about the cruxification .reserecution and next week were gonna have a party since its the last day...bittersweet really. tue i helped out with entre amigas cause i needed another ministry thing so that was good and had class again and family small group. my foot still hurts me so i asked for an easier job on wed and i got it...the sheets in the domrms! doing laundry so that was nice! and my caminata partner was christena and so it was good to get to know her better! had class in the evening. thurs came around and had class and a free afternoon so i ended up going to walmart with stephanie to get stuff for our ministry and than hung out with kiley and attempted to do my paper...ya im still not very far on it and its due tomrow...good thing i have nothing going for me..except for the tea party at 2:15..well hope i get it done! tonight had family night and we had brownies and ice cream! and played this game where you had to write up to 100 and u could only write when you got doubles and than people would steal the pen from you so they can write when they got doubles, it was very fun and intense! now im about to multi-task...upload photos and work on my paper :) cheers!

Missions Trip 101

So these past 9 days I was on a missions trip. First day, we left after breakfast around 9. It was approx 7 hrs to get there but ended up taking 9 hrs ish, we got there around 6 - 7 ish. So fairly long day driving but we got the joy of having 3 microbuses to have, the 2 we have at port and a rented one which we had 16 in it and 8 in each of the other buses so it was very nice and spacey so that made it half decent. Went to our families house right away and Mari was my roomate and so that was nice. They had a small house with only one bedroom and so they left every night after we went to bed to go and sleep at her sister's house which was just down the road. The next morning we were picked up and went to the church for breakfast, it was saturday and we had youth group to get ready for, so the whole day we hung out with kids - youth and did different games and what not and in the evening with the youth we had a service where the band played and jeremey spoke and it was very good, and we lit candles and it was super pretty. the following day we had sunday school and so i was in charge of ages 1-3 and that was good, the band played in the service and Daikel spoke and I hung out with little kids with kattia, and adair and it was very fun! than we got a chance to hang out with our tico familes that we were staying with but our family wasnt home so we ended up hanging out with kelsey and adair and went to a coffee shop and met a lot of ppl from our group there and it went from 4 to a lot! so fun! and the coffee stuff there is soo good! after when our family was back, we went there and hung out with them for a bit than monday came rolling around. monday was our first work day and we had 2 projects we were gonna work on, an elementary school and a house for a lady(fixing the ceiling and giving her a new washing area) and most ppl went to the elementary school but me, austin, darren, daikel, kiley, and rebecca went to the house and worked there that week and that was fun! soo good, and other hired workers were there and so we worked with them. mostly just did the shed thing while they did the ceiling inside. however carlos and austin helped a bit with the ceiling. after work day we had the homeless people ministrys and so on monday evening we went around and invited homeless people to the church for the following evening and gave them food and drinks and it was good community. the following day(tuesday) we worked some more and than in the evening it was when the homeless ppl came and so they did and we chatted with them, carlos shared his testimony and we gave them hotdogs and drinks and than asked if anyone wanted to know Jesus and what not and it was a very good night. On wed we didn't work at all. we were in schools all day. the morning we had 7-9 grade and played games, did a skit, jose shared some and it was very fun! met some awesome ppl, and in the afternoon had grades 10-12 and did the same thing for the most part and in the evening we went to the elemntary school where we were painting and hung out with the kiddies there and played games, jeremey told them the story of david and goalith and adam and heather acted that out, quite enteraining! than at the end we had a pinata for the differtn ages, and that was really fun! and than we left. thurs and friday we had no ministrys so we just worked all day! got a lot done! for the most part...however for the house project we were waiting around a decent amount for the cement, for other various things and so it was a lot of sitting but we still managed to get it all done apart from the railing and sticking the sink up but we finished everything else! pics are gonna be up either tonight or tomorow so defintly check them out :) and the rain stopped us some as well but it was good. our team was pretty awesome. on thurs evening some of us went to play soccer with a bunch of ticos at the school we were at and that was soo fun! however my running shoes are falling apart and full of cement so i ended up playing barefoot against everyone with shoes and so my foot hurts soo much! i cant put full amount of pressure on it but its slowly gettting better...slowly...lol. friday we finished early and ended up going to the border for a bit, bunch of cheap stuff so that was good, had no money so i ended up just looking but it was still fun! left after breakfast on saturday morning and got there sometime in the evening and when we got back, we had a surprise from the staff...they put up christmas decorations, trees and decorated the dining room all pretty and had a lovely meal adn it was just soo awesome and feels so much like christmas here now and its great! i love it :) and that is my missions trip in a nutshell!

Oct.25 - 27

Tuesday was good, went to class, had a free afternoon that was super chill and i did barley anything. kinda fun to have those days once in a while. in the evening we had class and than just hung out with everyone and what not. on wed had a early morning skype convo with my family, we had camineta and i was with becca! so fun :) we played guitar and talked and it was awesome. after was work day and i was in charge of clearing out the river... ;s luckily i was with kiley and it wasnt as bad as previous times so it wasnt tooo bad and i managed to get thruogh it. i than went for a 3 mile run, had a missions trip meetnig which we got our shirts and booklets that tell whats hapening,than skyped wtih hillary, than played soccer...lost again and had to jump into the lake, than had a shower and i was soo exhasuted! i could barley keep my eyes open! after supper we had a worship evening night, a special one which we have once every month and do communium. last night it was a focus on the missions trip and the band played, and than we prayed for all the differnt groups in the kiosko in our missions ministry groups and it was super powerful and awesome! than i went to bed around 10:30 and passed out! today got up, had breakfast and than had an hr of prayer and class one esther, managed to finish my paper, and am almost done packing everything :) its exciting! me and kiley are going to the store today to buy munchies for the ride there...about 7 hrs ish to the place but were taking 4 different vehicles so it wont be overcroweded at all!! which is awesome! im stoked! went and bought a lot of food, but they woudldnt take my visa right away because i didnt have ID...first time being asked for ID lol but finally he got annoyed and took it anyways! played guitar for abit! daikel and ody made a cuban meal for us and it was soooooo good :) i love experienceing differnet food from different cultures! than after went and played some b-ball :) so fun! it rained a bit too but that didnt stop the funnes! man i love playing b-ball..i acutally miss it soo mucch! lol but ya mission trip tomorow :) cheers!

Oct.23-24,2011

So sunday was a typical sunday. since i went to church on sat, i didn't go to church on sun morning. i relaxed, played guitar, hung out with people, very nice day off! Pablo came around 4 and i had another guitar lesson and he says that next time theres a lesson i will learn a song :) im soo excited! its going to be soo fun! my first ever song :) after supper we had worship night, and that was enjoyable, i love these nights, worshipping and praising God. its awesome :) i than hung out on the couch with stephanie and kiley and we sang songs and did actions to them while laying down...it was intresting but oh so fun :)us bible school kids...sheesh were crazy :P but that was my sunday, and my new daily duty is room check...hopefully be fun! And monday came around, it was pretty decent of a day. started my new daily duty and its not as bad as i thought it would be! no spiders were found! woo! had another class on esther and than went to my ministry after lunch...it was a very chill hr and a bit. not much running around which is nice considering i was on my 3rd day of fasting. and than played guitar for abit. than in the eveing after supper, had another class on john and we had a guest speaker who did chp.9 and that was pretty awessome. and at the end of the class i have fasted for 75.5 hrs than i had a power bar thing. i guess we"ll see what guidence and direction i get and discernment, there were many things i asked for and prayed for and what not but 2 major ones were my focus these last couple days so im going to see where there gonna go and well God reveal what you want. cheers! :)

Engagement 101

Yes, i have been engaged for one day of my life at Port. And this is how it happened...Okay, im not engaged in any sense! this is what happened...i left my facebook online and jose came on and switched my status without me knowing...and than i found out and left it for a bit to see the comments...than kelsey and jose made a made Austin a fb page, but he really doesnt have fb! (real pics and information apartt from birthday however) but than jose went and switched us to engaged and bam, that was when it started...lol so thank you for the well wishes but im really not in any sense engaged! Austin is a great guy, but were just friends!! but it was really intresting to see all the amount of ppl that actually believed it. i know that it is quite possible that it could of happened but not to me at this time! sorry for all who believed it, if i ever was to get engaged we would be in a relationship on fb first! lol. Apart from that it was a pretty decent day. Hung out and had fun, had fmaily night and we watched nacho libro(i duno how to spell the last part of his name) and had nachos! lol fun fun :) and had first class on esther...that was pretty awesome, its pretty good so far! today i really dont know what im going to do! lol but i like the weekend! lol cheers! :)

So wednesday was awesome. had caminata in the morning and my partner was alicia! that was nice to get to know her better and than my work day duty was cleaning the pisos which are the floors in the sala/dining room area. that wasn't too bad, and than after we had a missions trip meeting and had to present what we were gonna do down there and my speaking was a bit better...still not the greatest but getting there and than after soccer time :) at first everyone was lame and said i wont come because of this and that and random excuses so it was just me, adair, tanis and jorge and we had jose join us and we started a bet...whoever lost...jump into the lake...now the lake here is gross, simply awful and yucky and you just dont go in there so first one up to 10 and than we had more ppl join like austin, alicia, steven, pica, diego and than it ended up being staff against students and loser had to jump in the lake. it was a most intense game!! the score came to be 9-9 and well the staff won in the end and so yup...we gotta jump in the lake..now it wasnt as bad as i thoguht it would be...i was sooo thankful my head didnt go under the water! after that had a shower than it was supper time and than class on feasts of israel once again! thurs rolled around and had an hr of prayer, than had our last class on feasts of israel, next came lunch and than worked on my paper, played guitar and got ready for the passover! so we had a full out fledged passover! it was soo cool and neat to experinece something totally different! so awesome! pics will be up soon! but ya i love it here, its absoutly amazing! :) so fun! cheers :)

Sun - Tue

So sunday was good, since I never got to go to church on sat, i was planning on going to the early service at vida abudante with a bunhc of ppl, but i set my alarm for one hr too late as my computer time has not switched and well i got up when they left...so than i didnt really wanna go out walking by myself to catch up to them so than i ended up listening to spanish worship songs and 2 sermons of my dad. that was very nice. first time since ive been here that ive understood everything!! lol. and than after it was lunch and in the afternoon i didn't do much. chilled and played guitar, baked cookies for our ministry on monday afternoon and than got a guitar lesson from pablo :) he is soo good! and than had worship in the evening and than just chilled and hung out. Monday came around and had our first class on Feasts of Israel which is really cool, Im enjoying it. Quite intresting adn than monday we had our ministry and so we went to the soup kitchcen adn it was different than usual as it wasnt as hardcore, there was barley any spinning or piggybacking! lol. and than came back had a shower and than played some more guitar. After supper we had another class on Feast of Isreal and than played guitar some more and chilled. Tue came rollign around and went to family sm group and that was nice. i enjoy it! and than had class again adn than my afternoon was free so i went to NovaCentro with steph,kiley, and adri and we hung out and bought stuff we need! i got guitar picks :) its exciting!! im soo stoked, expect there kinda thick the ones i bought so they arent as nice as the one pablo gave me but at least i have guitar picks! woop! and than class in evening and i attetmpted to go for a run in the afternoon but it was rainign and the track was muddy and i wiped out on the path and my leg felt not the greatest for a while but its fine now. than i was in the computer room and i started to get up to leave and i tripped over my computer cord and fell on my butt...ya that was kinda embarrassing...but hey its to be expected as im accident prone! lol. today is wed and off to caminata i go. cheers!

Thurs y Friday y Saturday

So thurs was good, had class on kings and family night! :) we had a christmas party with ugly sweaters! ya that was fun. pics r up on fb so check them out! we had pumpkin pie, chai tea and it was fun! On friday finished Kings and wrote the paper. After supper just hung out and chilled. played some card games with austin,adam,heather,kate,abby and me. Today went to san jose and got more things for my family and friends. and it has been raining for the past 4 days but luckily today when we were there it didnt rain until we were watiing for the bus to go home! so that was a blessing. had wednys for lunch. still raining and im soo sick of rain but oo also found out the potentials for next sem! we may acutlaly have more boys, we have a potential of having 13 guys! hahaha which will be a big change from this sem since we only have like 7 or 8 guys so not too much but 5 more guys will be a big difference. should be intresting. my dad should be happy to hear that. i may acutally find my husband like he thinks i will :P haha gotta love the teasing of a dad! practicing guitar some more and Pablo gave me some cords that i need to do fluently so that it can be easier to play guitar so ive been working on that and tomrorw he will be here again so ill get another lesson :) im stoked! i told my parents i wanted a guitar for christmas so if i got one that would be amazing! i had a chance to skype with my family for a tiny bit and so that was nice, were gonan try for 9:30 tonight because my dad went hunting this afternoon but i still gotta talk to my paretns for a wee bit so that was nice! attempted talking tonght but the connection was bad so gotta re scheudle sometime but im off to bed soon. cheers! :)

Tue y Wed

So the last couple days went well, nothing overlly exciting happend. It has been raining a lot. and i mean a lot! but than it is the super rainy season right now and we have been fortunate in the weather so far but now its getting colder and rainer but still super nice here! Tuesday had family group in the morning, gave my testimony! good practice casue i wanna say it in front of everyone sometime before the end of the sem as it would be good to get over my fear of public speaking! Kings took place as well on Tue and that is an awesome class! I like it a lot. the speaker is good and the material is prettt decent. Gotta write my paper on it today...Wed was caminata and work day. I had Alba as my partner and she knows only spanish really and so i understood everything she said! iwas super excited :) i couldnt reply as much as i wanted to but i did some and it was really good practice for me! than it was work day and I with jose, cody and jayda gotta clean out the lake. that was intrseting, not tooo bad acutally. i saw no spiders so i was happy! also had a missions trip meeting and got everything finally finished, well at least for my ministry that i will be doing there which is sunday school. than the La Cumbre(its a camp) people came here and we played a hardcore game of soccer! mostly guys and there was like 8 or 9 ppl on each team and mostly everyone had soccer cleats! it was defintly the most intesne game ive played here yet. It was la cumbre against the Porta people. So fun! it was raining the whole entire time and it was like pouring and it was cold as well iwth the wind and what not but we still played and it turned into mud ball. the field was mudddy and had puddles of water an dwhen you ran and tried to stop you slide a lot and pulled up the grass and it got more muddy and whne your runnig the mud and water are flying everywhere. o ya it was good times! so fun though depsite all of that! it made it more fun and a better challenge :) than had kings in the evening and than i practicced guitar some more. Pablo is gonna teach  me and were gonna jam together on sundays so that hppefully by the end of the sem i can play in a sunday worship night. :) so im on the course of Mighty TO Save right now, and Becca kinda showed me how to do it so that when Pablo comes Im not too bad! haha but im soo excited! should be fun :) ive always wanted to learn how to play guitar and now its finally coming true :) and this morning me and adiar slept in...and i mean slept in...we missed breakfast and got woken up at 8:10 lol it was great! but at leats we had a good sleep. my finger still hurts though because i practiced for so long so it hurts to put pressure on my finger but thats okay! im willing to do it so that i can play and get half decent! lol cheers! :)

Monday!

So on monday our new class started. It was on kings. the speaker is the director guy of the texas campus - his hill and thats really cool. its an english class so thats nice to have it switched up! attemptd to go for a run yesterday but iset my alarm one hr ahead by mistake....i was supose to set it back so today i tried and it never went off....i dunnno..this is not working out for me so ima gonna download another one from the internet and try that. After morning worship and class and lunch, had ministry again and so went to that. so fun! the kids are soo cute and we are forming relationships with them :) and than i finally uploaded the first part of my pictures and had the class on John in the evening and that was cool. Heard the testimony of a buisness man, one of Don Marco's best friends. Today got King's class again and family group devotional and so that"ll be fun. and myafternoon is free today so im hoping to get done my ruth and titus papers from last week...there due this friday with the kings paper! cheers! :)

Panama!!! :)

So since I was only allowed to be in the country for 90 days off to Panama went the Portantorchas group! It was pretty darn awesome! So nice there :) Took a mercedes benz bus there, that was nice not to have to use the micro buses and we were alltogether so that made it even better! stopped at the border, and went through customs and all those fun things! luckily we got through farily quick :) some years it took like 2 hrs to get through them we got lucky plus we were ahead of schedule so that made it nice! but it was super humidy hot there that it seemed like a lot longer. We had to go across a sketchy bridge to get to the Panama side. Pics will be up soon so you can see how sketchy it really was. Big holes and cracks...oh it was fun stuff :P Panama has the most sketchy bathrooms ever! sheesh...really didnt feel overally safe using them but hey there bathrooms! lol. Finally made it through customs and than we were in Panama and we took a boat to the island we were staying at. Boca del Toros it was called, and that was nice to be in a boat on the carribean ocean feeling the wind and sun on you! but it acutally wasnt overlly tooo sunny the first day we were there but it was still hot and humid! defintly easily to get burned! Got to the island and I was in room 202 with kiley, adri and steph :) it was a party! so fun! and the rooms were really really nice, i loved them and they had air conditioning which was schweet! and we had nothing planned for that day when we arrived there so we just hung out around the town and shopped and saw the scenery and what not. The next day we had breakfast and than went onto a boat and went to various places. We went snorkling, and to a beach and it was sooo gorgeous. loved it! but to be honest, i thought belize had better scenery under the water than the spots we went too but it was still gorgoues and i would defintly go there again!! And i took lots of precautions to not get burned and that day turned out to be a success, never got burned so that was nice! and after we just chilled and hung out, shopped, visited all that fun stuff and got a phone call from the guys saying some really random stuff...gotta love pranks like that :p but than some of the girls(not me, i was just watching) did some stuff to them, nothing major or hardcore just i dont really know how to explain it, you had to be there but it was fun none the less. 3nd day we went out again, went to this area where there was jellyfish and we got to hold some, that was sooo cool, they felt soo werid and we went snorkling in an area where they were and some ppl got stung. luckily i didnt! i was quite glad for that. we also went to starfish beach and there were soo many starfishes and white sands and clear blue waters. so awesome. and i got to hold a bunch of starfishes and that was fun! and than we went to a place for lunch and hung out there and than back to boca del toros and the rest of the day was chill and relaxed and didnt do much. everyone was super tired and what not. than we were leaving the nexxt morning so after breakfast we left back on the boat and went back to the bus which was parked on the land and drove to the border crossing again, and once again we got lucky(thank you god) and managed to get through pretty darn quick was sweet. had to walk on the sketchy bridge again and use a sketchy washroom(there was a couple of them on this trip) but it was all good and made it a more fuller experience! and than we drove back to Port and had supper and now im writing this and deciding if i want to put up pics tonight or not. i dont actually know. lol . but ya thats panama, totally awesome and most defintly go there again in a heartbeat!!! :D cheers! i would reccomend it to anyone. o ya we got invited to a lot of parties, every night, same ones and some ppl even got offered drugs, ya it might be a vaction area but certainly has lots of secular things on it. ooo we also had a devo time and meet some of the locals and they came to join us these couple guys and that was sweet, good to meet them and what not. ya, thats about it. tomorow heading off to Pica's church and than going out for lunch with the other ppl that are going to his church so that will be nice. im stoked! cheers once again!

Weekend Once Again

So just finished this weekend. wasn't too shabby! friday, didn't do much but becca's paretns came and so that was nice to meet them! they are very nice and treated us all to ice cream!! friday our class ended on the bibical charcaters class and so we dont have to write a paper but we have to do a "newspaper" type thing about differnt ppl  in the bible! that should be intresting how i do that...due tomorow and i havnt started!! plus im super busy these last days. i also went to the doctors and paid 50$ for the visit and $70 for the anitbiotics as i had a respitorty tract infection and it's caused by a unknown bacteria and the infrection doesn't go away!! so its good in a way but man, it really drained my account! on sat i went to san jose and was fun! got this really cool sweater type jacket thing but not really and i went with becca, her family, cody, jayda and christena! so fun! and than planned on going to Pica's church in the evening but when we got back we went to change and than they left without us so than that was great...but the staff here are soo awesome. they tried getting a hold of him and waiting with us and it was soo nice! but in the end diego took us to a differnt church - vida abudante and we went to that and than came home and started watcign amazing grace but we quit early to go to bed since were super tired and we were gonna do a race on sundayy! so sunday came....and left Port at 7:30 and went to san jose where we met adri and her mom/brother(who was doing the 8k) and they drove us the rest of the way! i really didn't knwo why i agreed to do it...i have been sick for 2 weeks and done zip for physical activity. but surprise, surprise i acutally ran amazingly well for having those against me. i pushed myself and kept passing ppl. so i guess it worked out not too bad and i really did wanna run the 8k that was taking place but i knew that wouldnt be smart considering im still not 100% better but than we came back, had lunch, and than just got ready for the worship night. it was a fundraiser for our missions trip! it went pretty awesome and than after...well i went to bed as i was super tired. running that race really tired me out! but glad to know i can run again! cheers! oo and in 2 days were off to panama :D

Wed y Thurs

So on wed it was caminata, and i had adri as my partner! that was fun. than work day and i got to rake the path around the soccer field with steph! that wasnt too bad of a job! no spiders involved anyways :) and soccer got cancelled so just planned some more for the missions trip  and than relaxed until supper. After supper did my daily duty which is cleaning the office, thats not too bad of one either! pretty darn easy but oh so time consuming! And last night we had class on bibical charcters taught by a pastor of a church here in costa rica. hes pretty good teacher! and than went to bed, planned to get up at 4:30 with some girsl to watch the sunset :) and so went to bed and had to wake up at 3:30am and coughed non-stop until 4:30am...it was really bad. i felt reallyl bad for adair who priolly had to listen to me coughing and i was soo weak afterwards and since ive been sick so long it now hurts to cough or swallow. plyus doesnt help how i have a stuffy nose adn a headache. i hope tonight is better. so 4:30am came around and wathced the sunset. that was pretty nice. it was me, adair, adri, alicia and kelsey...we went up on the deck...yes its the guys area..yes its the guys area but hey nobody new and the guys didnt wake up! got some dec pics than managed to fal lback aslepp until 7 when i got up and than had breakfast and than an hr of prayer and than class again than lunhc than really had nothing, went to get haircuts with a bunhc of different girls. pretty fun and oh so cheap! 6 bucks!!!! :) and than had a missions trip meeting and than had supper than cleaned the office again adn than had family night!! we hung out, played cranium, had smoothies and popcorn! very fun and relaxing! now im about to start planning my devo which i need to have done by tomrorw morning....and than an outline for our homeowrk on the bibical characters class! should be a fun eveing! cheers :)

Public Speaking 101

So monday was peacy and just fine and dandy, got my new daily duty and thats cleaning the office! thats a decent job and worked on Thessalonians self-study and completed it offically and than on monday evening we had our class on John. I was in group 5 who had to do chapter 5 of John and we all split it into sections to speak about...well I was up...I got a wee bit dizzy before going up and than i went up to speak. Lets just say...im not a public speaker in any sense. I couldn't think, my face turned beat red and i just kinda stared at my classmates and didn't do much but fidget and look super nervous and i was sweating buckets!! its nerve whacking being up there! and it took a few minutes but than Marco(who is teaching it) came up and put his arm around me and was like ill stay up here with you so that you don't have to look at me. So i attempted to speak...stammered a bit looked down at my notes and than looked up and was going somewhat smoothly than i just started to ramble on not really sure where i was going than my mind went blank and i stopped in a middle of a sentence and i was okay im done. can i sit down now? and Marco was like nop, i have to translate first! I just kinda stood up there super akwardly until he was done and my classamts were soo nice, they clapped after i was finished and while i was getting my guts to do there was encouarging smiles and what not so there awesome to help me out like that! but i was soo relieved when i sat down. and than today we had to present our self-study projects to our family group...that wasnt as scary and i just read the bible passage i was doing super super quick and than went on to do the rest and it went really well acutally...better than i thoguht. Marco also said at the end of mondays class that were gonna get together and get rid of my fear of public speaking! so that should be eventful attempting to do that! I do wanna share my testimony sometime this sem but first I really really need to improve on my public speaking skills casue that would be in front of all the students and staff....lol cheers!

My Sick Weekend

So this past weekend I had the joy of being sick...not fun at all! started on monday and curently im still sick! blag! on friday i got up right before breakfast and had breakfast did my daily duity, and after lunch i went to bed and slept until supper time. had supper and than wathcd a movie(1st lord of the rings) and took my niquill at 10:30 and passed out until the breakfast bell rang the next morning. got up and had breakfast than sat in the sala for a bit, got a headache and than signed out of lunch and went to bed and slept until supper. had supper and than just chilled for a bit than went to bed around 10...the couhging started to get really really bad and i couldnt sleep so i went out about 10:45 to get some camomile tea and austin was there and he got me a lemon/lime thing to put into my tea and that was nice and than we ended up chatting until 11:20. it was a nice chat, i enjoyed the time to get to know him better. i acutally found some intresting things out. were both pastor's kids and for 2 years we lived 1hr apart. crazy how small this world is! and than he prayed for me and than i went to bed and attempted sleep, slept until 8:30ish and than had breakfast and got ready for church. went to pica's church, it was pretty awesome, i liked it and than came back and had lunch, really didnt do much all afternoon, sat and read a john grisham book - rainmaker and than had supper and than had a lovley chat with becca :) and than had worship night and than made brownies with adair and kattia and than we and some other girls ended up eating them straight from the pan while watching toy story 2 in espanol on pica's tv. it was great! and now im getting ready for bed and hoping the cough gets better! and not as crazy as before! so it was a very low key weekend with me mostly sleeping! i can only hope im better tomorow! cheers:)

Mon - Thurs

So this week was another chill one, nothing to insane happened! Started a self study on Thessalonians. Meeting with Clari tomorow to go over it and get a better grip on the presentation that im giving to my family group. Should be fun!! ministy went well again on monday, and there wasnt as many kids as usual there but still a decent amount!! they are soo cute! love them soo much! my sickness also started on monday, and i feel like crap right now, still after 3 days. got the typical cold/flu symptoms, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose..y"all know all that fun stuff! Tue was pretty chill still and wed not a lot happened. we had a worship night - communium - that night and that was pretty awesome. i love nights like those! bought cough medicine and some antigripe drink thing to have at night so hopefully that helps! Finished my mission intergral paper yesterday whcih is pretty sweet, glad to have it done and not have to worry about it anymore!! what else...tonight is family night so that should be fun! im stoked, i love family night! so fun :) and i love having lemon and lime trees here! made some limonade so hopefully that helps as well and i love having lime water whenever you want! its soo awesome! and i found out today that so for there is gonna be 10 for sur returning students! ethan,cody,jose, jeremy,kattia, adri,me,kiley,kate,jayda for sur and maybe katie(she doesnt know yet) so that should be sweet! and its about to be a storm!! there are huge rain clouds outside big and black! should be fun...hoepfully its not too crazzy but its starting to get cold lol. cheers!

Weekend at La Montana :)

So on thurs i managed to finish my paper in 2 hrs...even the bonus section, that was kinda awesome! On friday we left at 1 ish and than took a 2 different buses about 1 hr each to get to the camp. It was already in session when we got there and so we just grabed our shirts and went to join the other staff. Supper came after and than it was more or less just a relaxing evening with a chapel session in the evening and that was very powerful and amazing even though i couldnt understand lickity split, i could feel God's prescence! and hung out with the staff, got to know them better, and there was a bunhc of ice breaker games in the gym and that was fun. i was in charge of skip roop and there super large and heavy and it was a good workout! and than went to bed around 12 and got up at 6 as deviotional for us leaders was at 6:30 so for the 2 nights i only got about 6 hrs and it was jammed pack days! On sat we had chapel and than did different games that day, i got to do high ropes...and that was an adventure in itself! sooo nerve whacking but oh so fun! and itw as great because all the students were watching as me one of the staff were attempting to climb the ropes, but apparently i looked pretty decently and not too much like a newbie! i got complimnetd by one of the main workers there so that was nice to hear! it rained all afternoon however but thanks to texican, since i borrowed her rain coat , i stayed dry! and more fun stuff in the eveing and i was in charge of the rock climbing wall and i just helped put on the climbing stuff, pretty awesome as well! and i know im not going into much detail but the details all all fogged together since I am dying currently from lack of sleep! and on sunday we had water games and that was soo fun! they had soo much stuff and ninja on a water trampoline....amazing!!! simply awesome, soo much funner than ground ninja! and the slide you would get air and shoot out and it was sweet! and than it was goodbye time. oh and i totally had some ppl come up and take pics with me, with all us grenga staff :P haha. it was great. cheers! soo ready for bed! lates!

Wed y Thurs

So both days were pretty chill. On wed had a caminata with abby and than for work day had to clean out the area aruond the dorms...it was sooo grosss! wayy too many spiders(big ones too) and just overally large bugs for its own good...it was great :S and than had a mission trip meeting in the afternoon and so that was good, than had our last class on mission integral. he's a pretty good teacher. a pastor of a church in the area about 2 ish hrs away. On thurs we had nothing. it was a holiday :) happy independence day costa rica!! and so most of the ppl went to a parade in the morning in Coronado and that was fun. Went back to Port and than played a soccer game, love playing soccer here! soo fun :) and than finally started my paper. surprisngly...dunno how, but I managed to get the bibical faith project, and the bonus section on James done in 2 hrs....dont' even know how that was possible but yay im done :) just gotta print it out. techincally i dont have to hand it in until monday by 5 because Im off to the montana camp this weekend. Anyways after supper there was no family night planned but there was a movie at Tom's place and games and stuff at Diego and Clari's house and so I ended up going there and played mao(think thats how it spelled) and than telephone pictionary. soo fun. i love playing that game with bible school kids! we do the most awesome stuff and they get soo distorted after! soo funny and soo awesome! defintly the best telephone pictionary game i played yet! well off the montana camp this weekend, should be intresting as its all in spanish naturally and so good practice for me! cheers!

Mon y Tue

So Monday was pretty chill and relaxed. started a new class on mission integral. the teacher is speaking all in spanish so im pretty much screwed so i end up not really catcing anything and just copying kylies english notes she has! woop! yay for english notes! had my ministry today, first time without nina since they left and it went pretty darn good for having no one who is fluent in spanish. anyways as the title states...late last night i found out that devin had died, the little boy was 14 and had hurlers syndrome and i babysat sometimes for him and his brother and so that was pretty hard. i talked to adair and becca for a bit that night and than today, it was more difficult and i was holding back tears all through tom's class on paraboles and than after was gonna be mission integral class but i went to tom and was like can i talk to you? and than i started crying so than we went off and talked and that helped a lot and than i couldnt go to class just because i was not my best and so than i helped alba in the kitchen making juice and than, i didnt wanna be along so i got becca and we ended up talking and me crying and that was nice to have that for a while and than adair joined me and its just amazing to have a family that is always there for you and will not let you go through things urself. than adair said that sometimes going for a run helps so in the afternoon i went for a run. ended up going around the track 10 times but super fast, as fast as i could go, of course i had breaks inbetween but it was super good. and than after i had a shower and baked stuff at clari's hosue for the tea party tomorow and than me and kate went for a walk and we ended up hanging out with the guys for a bit - jose, ethan, adam and austin. they are attempting to make a agility ladder for training and for whatever reason they were hanging it from the tree and cclimbing up it prolly to get the rope tight but stil it was super trippy and not stable in any way. than they started to climb tress and i wanted to join so than i attempted but failed so than i attempted to move a picnic table up there but it was tough so than austin came and helped me move it. so nice of him :) and than i climbed a tree and got a wee bit up than attempted to get down. that failed as well. i got stuck and was scared so than my "white knight" as kate calls it, came and said put ur foot on myle so i did and tried to hang on to the tree so that all my weight wouldnt be on his leg and so far so good and than i tried to move down and that failed and i kinda was hanging in a akward way and so than he wrapped his arms around me and said i got you just come down and so i did and oops i guess it was a little too fast or something cause i almost made him lose balance and we kinda wobbled on the picnic table, it was intresting....kinda embarrasing considering i couldnt get down or up for that matter and getting down was a chore but stil thank you jose for coming to my rescue or else i would of been stuck up there...and than me and kate conitinued on our walk and on another time aruond they were throwing austins knife and jumping around on trees or attempteing to climb them and what not and so than me and kate asked austin to teach us how to throw a knife so now i know :) its kinda exicinting, still havnt got it in the tree yet but one day. thank you austin! throwing knifes are fun but kinda scary especialy when it ricochates off the tree....couple close calls! not with me throwing however! now we have another mission integral class coming up and theres questions to answer so i should prolly get on that even though i missed that last class so im kinda lost anyways. o well, it should be good. cheers!

so this weekend wass quite intrseting. friday had no classes so just chilled, hanged finished homeowrk and waht not, and than on sat well just say just praise!!! thank you lord!! so taking the bus home from san jose shopping trip day thing and i was oblivious to it, well all us grengas were apart from ethan and adri(tica) and anyways all of a sudden the bus pulled over and there was a bunch of police around the bus. we weren't really sure what was going on, adri all of a sudden told us to move to the back and so we moved behind here. the police came on and took off 2 guys. and searched them. one of them had a gun for sur as they took it and they smelled of marijuana and what not but anyways the police came on and asked if anyone had anything taken, than they left and we started again. so in short they were going to rob the bus and they had guns so it could of been bad...but thank goodness for god and police they caught them before it happened...kinda scary though that we could of been robbed from ppl with guns...but ya praise be to the lord nothing happened :):) that was sat...kinda scarily insane and we deccided not to tell ppl about it until tonight, when we do sharing time and what not. anyways, than watched hitch after and that was cool. than today wnet to this church and helped out with the kids games since its kids day!! quite fun :) and than went to play b-ball and that was sweet it started to rain and the court was ssuper slippery and i slipped and fell on my back/butt etc...and than austin did that too, it was great. hurt a lot but luckily no one got injured. that was fun to play b-ball. really hanvt played it for almost 3 yrs. and now watiign for supper and after having worship night so that should be fun :) yay! but that was my weekend...oooo ya i got this string thing in my hair and its realyl cool. pics will be on fb soon and i got a ring and some presents for my family. overall a fairly decent weekened.! cheers :)

A most awesome last couple of days!

So thurs and today were pretty awesome. Thurs was pretty much free for all as there was nothing scheduled because of small group half day and so everyone just chilled, worked on papers, went out etc...and it was sweet. i worked on my paper and than me, rebecca and cody went to san jose and went to the artisan market and shopped there, got a bunch of awesome inexpensive stuff :) including the national soccer jersey of this country :) yay!! so this guy came up behind us while we were walking and pushed in the middle and sneezed really hard while talking on the phone and than turned around and started walking the other dirction!. we thought rebecca had been robbed so we stood in the middle of the street while she checked her bag adn than the guy came back and pointed out a camera on top of a roof and he said some more stuff and cody said that it may of been for one of those shows that people do random funny stuff...so if it was well we might of got on it...lol than we missed our bus and so we got on a random bus that would take us near and it ended up talking us right where we needed to go! so that was que chiva! than we had family night and we just hanged at Tom and Sarah's house, and had puppy chow! sooo good!! but sooo sweet!! and than we just played a game where we write something about ourselves on a piece of paper than one person reads them and we tired to guess who it was, and so we got to know each other better through that! and than i worked on my paper some more and than on friday, well today, we were leaving at 6 for our half day outing type thing. and so me and cody woke up at 5 and did our daily duty for friday so that we wouldnt have to do it later(were cleaning the kiosko) and than the guys went surfing at jayco and we went to this outdoor pool resort place and it was really nice to lay out in the sun, sleep, tan, swim etc...very enjoyable and i dont think i got burnt :) well much if any....as i did put on lots of sunscreen!! than got back and handed in my paper and than me and adair baked brownies!! :D soooo yummy! and now im planning on chilling for the rest of evening and maybe watching amovie?? but it will be awesome no matter what!

Nothing Exciting really has Happened

So the last couple days have gone pretty well. Ive been lazy though and been wayy to tired in the mornings to go for a run....tomorow for sur! we started proverbs and ecelasties(really cant spell that book of the  bible) and so thats pretty good. our last class on them are tonight after work day, camineta and missions trip planning...which im super stoked for! the kids soup kitchen went well on monday, we did the story of noah and so that was fun, next week were going to the do the lost son and act it out....should be intrestnig and im doing the devo! have pretty much thurs and friday free because of half day small group outings so that will be nice to catch up on everything as we also have a bibical faith project due next week. so last night i was listenting to austin tell what he thought about corn chips...it was very deep and philiosphical...it ended up talking about britian, weath,power and oppression...how he got there who knows but it was very entertaining! and he was tellign this to heather who was wrtiign a song about corn chips and started off with boys smell like corn chips....and didnt tell him what it was for so now his opionion on corn chips will be in there....which is the most intresting opinion i have heard especially because of the topic....lol. gotta love us bible school kids :P cheers!

Manuela Antonio Beach! :)

So this weekend is was off to the beach!! :) A bunch of us went to Manuela Antonio Beach and hung out Sat/Sun. It was really fun! The water was awesome and the beaches were sweet. Waves were really really fun to swim into and a couple times I was being pulled in towards the ocean by the current by than a wave would come and smash into me and it was kinda scary but kinda cool under the wave. On sat more or less we just hung out at the main beach and i went for a run on the beach! so awesome. always wanted to do that! :) and than on sun there was a group of us who went to the national park and that was cool, we were doing this hike thing but than we were short of time and so there was a group of 4 or 5 of us running down the hill trying not to fall flat on our faces...it was super muddy and slippery and than running on the beaches and paths pass everyoen trying to get to our meeting place on time. it was really fun doing that and we ended up being late luckily there was a van that stayed behind and we got a ride to our hotel area so that was nice. I however was a blond and only appliyed sunscreen once in the morning on sat!! i ended up being supppper burnt on my chest/shoulders/top of head/back and stomach....ya im in pain...its great....guess i learned my lesson. it was a 3 hr drive approx both ways and so in the wayy back we ended up singing to random songs, it was really fun :) than we got back and had our worship time which was nice and than I went to bed but had a most uncomfortable sleep...its really painful to sleep or have a shower :S o well...hopefully it gets betters soon! cheerrs ;)

End of the Week

So yesterday was kind of the end of the week for us, we finished our last bible class and now we have no classes today, in fact we really dont have anything but a rally between family groups this morning, so this is gonna be nice to have a day off. Yesterday I started my paper at like 9 30 ish and since I wasnt done by 12, I ended up staying up later and than there was 4 spiders in the place I was working and I manage to have killed 3 of them :) the other one is under a mug....lol. but im getting there slowly and that was at 1:30 ish so I was a bit crazed by than. Adair couldnt sleep either so we both ended up working on our papers, and I managed to get 2.5 maybe 3 hrs of sleep??? copied to my flash drive this morning and im soo happy to be finally done. We had family group last night and it was really fun! we hung out at Tom and Sara's house and played a questionaiire game and than would you rather...and had brownies and ice cream :) quite good!! I have a couple skype dates today - my parents and jana/bryan so im quite excited for that :) cheers!

Pretty sure I overworked my body yesterday!

So got up nice and early and went for a 14 lap run, which is 3.5 miles...kinda long and insane but felt awesome and than camineta happened i was with tanis and that was nice to get to know her better! and than work day which i had to clean the floors in the kitchen area and sala. it wasnt too bad i was with some cool ppl! and than after there was a soccer game happening and so of course i joiined that but with sports i get competitive/agggressive and ya i played hardcore and injured myself, pulled a muscle in the back of my calf and i have lots of bruises on my legs hahaha. and i kinda injured other ppl too but hey its all in the game of soccer :) and last night it was pretty chill, went for a mcD's run at like 10 ish with a bunch of ppl, that was fun! had a mcflurry and fries! yum yum :) and today is the last class of deutoronomy and so gotta start my paper but i really dont know how to start it, having a coffee chat date with isa at 2 which will be nice :) and ya that is my life currently. cheers! o and my body is in insane pain lol but hopefully it gets better by the end of this weekend!

I really dont know what to put for a title...

Tuesday was decent, nothing overally exciting happened. Had a lot of deuteronomy classes though and of course there all in spanish! but luckily tom is willing to go over at the end of each other kind of a quick synopsis of what they talked about for the ppl who arent fluent in spanish like me! haha. had the afternoon free which is nice as my ministry was on monday and since other ppl have ministries on tue and what not the rest of us get it free :) got a new project to start working on, its on faith and is like one of the "bigger" projects you could say. also our paper on that bible class - deuteronomy is due on friday, its gonna be kinda insane attempting to get it done by than but quite doable! so i went for a 14 lap run today! new record! but its sooo tiring going that long, im quite happy though that i managed to make it! yesterday all the girls met and we have plans to go hang out at isa's house on thurs afternoon which will be pretty awesome :) just hang, eat, talk about what girls talk about and what not! im stoked!! have my 5th camineta today and its with tanis! that should be good to get to know her better! and work day as well is happening today, should be intresting, i hope i dont anything too crazy!! guess we"ll see! cheers!

"First Official Official Day"

So yesterday spanish classes r done, and now the classes r in spanish! the class in john is still bilingual but our new class on Deutonomy we started today will be spanish...should be intresting. and today was the day of my new daily duity, im cleaning the kiosko with cody and thats not too bad he takes cares of all the spiders so thats nice! i also went to my ministry today, its the kids soup kitchen with adam, nina and stephanie, and it was exhausting but o so fun! we played some games than did a devotional on creation and that was pretty cool and than some more games than we left! oo i also went for a 13 lap run yesterday morning! which is around 5k, so thats good :) and well i love my family here! they are so awesome and ya there sweet. but today was pretty awesome overall and we found out whos in our family night. so that should be awesome, im stoked for that! cheers!

Weekend with my Costa Rican Family!!

It was kinda graduation on friday ina  way or part of it and we were all supsoe to dress up as little kids and so that we did and pics r up on fb so u should def check them out :) and also they shipped us off all over the place to costa rican families. i was super super nervous. I was staying with someone named Adrianna Montero and her family. So she came to pick me up and than we went to the university of Costa Rica and i sat through a 2 hr class!! it was soo coool!!!! i loved it than we went to her house(which is really nice and they are quite well off) and we watched a movie and than on sat we went to san jose and hung out, saw a band play, went to a couple musuems, went to a couple stores, got 21 postcards hahaha and than in the eveing we went to her church and there was a reunion of young ppl and so i met ppl from that church and that was cool! and than sunday we went to that church, and than had lunhc and than wathced a movie becasue it was raining and depressing outside than kylie and the person she was statying with came over since they wre like best friends and we watched another movie with them!! so fun!! and than we went back to Portantorchas. Around 8 we had worship night, and that was awesome, had some flan dessert something thing after it was pretty decent, so overall it was pretty good weekend!! luckily for me she spoke englihs, and as much as i attempted to speak myslef spanish, well i ended up speaking mostly english...lol. but still awesome :) and today is the "offical first day" you could say and im off to my ministtry today!! should be intresting!!! cheers!

Thurs.

So yesterday was pretty sweet. Went for about 3 miles(5k) ish run with jose, pica and adiar out and about in the streets, we did this loop thing so that was sweet, nice to get out and run on something other than the track! for family night we just asked random quesitons and than whoever wanted to answer could and they were really funny questions too so lots of laughs :) officially done my paper, i just need to print it off, my proofreaders never got back to me so i did it myself...hope its okay. and yesterday at the countryside i made costa rican bread, tortiallas and milked a goat!! it was sooo cool! took me a while to acutally get some out but it was awesome when i acutually got it out!! and pics r up on fb so check them out!! today heading off to the family today in costa rica, soo nervous but really excited at the same time, hopefullly i can keep up my spanish!!! hhhm...smell of french toast is in here, soo good! cheers!

A most intresting day yesterday

So yesterday was intresting, im pretty sure i bombed my spanish exam...lol it was quite difficult i was getting all of the verb endings mixed up and forgetting them and it was just bad but i guess mabye theres a chance ill pass haha. oral exam i did okay so thats good. we also found out what our ministry r going to be now, im in the soup kitchen with the kids with adam, steph and nina. its gonna be awesome but theres a dec amount of kids so that should be intresting how the 4 of us manage to get them all occupied and involved..if we even can. but god will be there with us so we can rest assure knowing he will help us :) during the sem we have to visit 3 other times to another ministry either the same on or different ones. Im planning, if possible to go to cumbre camp for 2 weekends and the montana camp the another weekend just so that i can get experience what the camps r for next sem if i wanna do it. as those were my next choices i just didnt know if i wanted to be away for 4 or 6 weekends depending on what camp you chose. So now i just need to talk to the leaders of each group and get it set up. after supper we had a most awesome worship night. there were candles lit around the room and in the middle they were in the shape of the heart and than we all sat on the floor around it and dimmed the lights, sang praise songs, prayed and than had communium and than prayed with each other and it was absoultly amazing and powerful! :) today we are going into the countryside to visit other costa rican families so that should be exciting! and than friday is my graduation from spanish...if i graduate :P i dunno after that test though....but than after for that weekend were gonna stay with a costa rican family for the weekend...im super nervous but it should be super fun....i think...more or less i just hope i can carry a decent convo! i know God will help me but i really do hope that someone knows even a bit of english! breakfast is earlier today at 7:15 instead of 7:45 as we wanna leave at 8. should be fun! cheers!

Begginning of the 3rd Week!

So today and yesterday were pretty chill days. nothing too exciting happened. We had worship in the morning than spanish class than afternoon free than our class on John in the evening. That was monday, today we had spanish, than picked our top 3 ministires that we wanted to do and now we have free time. my top 3 were the kids soup kitchen, helping out a bible camp, y hanging out with girls in this community for a couple hrs a week. but there is soo much spanish homework to do for tomorow. examen, a presentation about our first month here. its insane the amount i need to memorize tonight...its great. right now theres like a gizillion ppl in here its intresting as theres a bunch of different convos going on and what not, quite intresting to hear what some people say. All i have left to do for my book paper thing is the personal application part which im planning on finishing it up tomorow and than sending it off to proofreading! well off to do finish my presentation for spanish tomorow! cheers!

Arenal Volcano

So on sat/and sun I was at arenal volcana area with everyone. It was so amazing! and the hot springs were great! so nice! really really hot though in some places. We got there and it has 3 slides and one you can get up to 45km an hr, soo fun! The volcano was beautiful, sadly it didnt erupt but thats okay! There was one hot spring that was sooo hot it was like 155 or something smiliar and you cant stay in it very long at all. there were some cold ones as well and there was a waterfall one. it was really cool because there was different sections and every section that was closer to the waterfall got hotter and hotter. you could sit under the waterfall and it was really fun but oh so hot. pics should be up on fb soon! however, It started to pour rain near the end of the day and i mean pour. with lots of lightening and thunder and it was kinda cool. Jose and Austin were a bit loco, as when that was happening they went into the pouring rain and went into the hot springs...smart thing to do with the intense lightenting and thunder. lol. the bus ride was 3 hrs long, but on the way home i ended up singing veggie tales with steph and kylie and than had some comedy listenting them talk in british accents for like an hr or so. they are soo funny but soo good at it! than after we had worship night and that was nice to sing songs. but i wasnt feelign my greatest as im pretty sure i got a minor case of heat stroke or what not, despite me drinking lots. oh and i managed to get burned on top of my head and the back of my neck...even though i brought 60 power sunscreen...it hurts to shower...but o well, hopefully it wont peel that would be nice. today is gonna be a good day! dont have anything until the evenign after spanish classes are done this morning, whcih were doing a presentation. cheers!

Bible School Pranks 101

So yesterday started out as harmless as could be. There was lunch, daily duties, went to san jose for a spanish outing(which is awesome and im def going back there soon as theres so much i wanna get), had our last prayer class and than supper. after supper the guys were gonna do there own thing at Pica's house and thats a bbq type thing and us girls were planning on watching the parent trap and maybe having a dance party in the casita. However a lot of the girls were on the computers skyping and what not. so we didnt really wanna do anything with only a couple ppl. So we decided to play a prank on the guys...at first we wanted to take their shoes from Pica's house and hide them but when we tried to get them it was too dangereous so we wanted to take their clothes and shoes (some where outside their doors) and hide them but were not allowed to go in so we tried to rope in the cook, Carlos, but he wouldnt and than we decided to hang the shoes from the chandelleir in the sala. Me and adri climbed up the stairs(to the guys area) and tried to see if any shoes were outside there bedrooms, but than dorathee who was keeping watch hissed and we knew someone was coming so we hurried downstairs and jeremey met us at the bottom, we attempted a quick cover-up about seeing ody(female of the marreid couple upstairs as well) and so than we just went into the sala and wanted and than adair and someone else got their shoes from outside in the end when jeremey left and adair started to hang them from the chandeller. It was pretty awesome(pics are taken and will be up soon) and than Austin comes into the sala, unexpected and what not so we try to bribe him with saying were make him stuff and what not but apparently not happening cause of a guys pact or something so he leaves(prolly to tell the other guys) so we start to lock the windows and doors, christoph, adam, and austin try to get in but we stopped them for a bit however we forgot that diego(one of the staff) has a key to the whole builiding...so that kinda failed. So we eneded up just leaving it at that(we had a few more ideas but had no ingredients) and went to watch the parent trap! and as we were watching that, some of the girls came and said they saw the guys down in the field with buckets....so now we were a bit worried....anyhoo me and a couple other girls went nonchantly for a walk and ended up seeing Austin with the bunnies(well attempting to catch them) and so we talked to him for a bit and he said we over analyze everything...maybe we did, maybe we didnt, anyhoo apparently we thought they might of put bugs into our area a.k.a spiders and so a few of us went to check and there was only 2 spiders on the floor...was that from them?? who knows. anyhoo that was that and than later on, i saw ethan and jose and christoph by the swing/bench area by our dorms so i went over there and katie was there. when i got there they were defintly acting unusally as they both started talking really fast, and about the most random things, like looney toons, sleeping in the dorms, etc...and i had a feeling they were up to something. but appaerntly accoriding to them thats how guys act but than cody came and i asked what was up and he said he didnt know as they were acting werid. well i called them loco and left and than they went to the kiosko thing where we were watching the movie and i went to the dorm area, i got inside and started to walk to my room but i never saw the bunny that was on the floor and when i did it gave me a living heartattack as they shouldnt be in that area and i shrieked and jumped back as it scared me(bunnies aren't scary btw but it more just startled me) and than they must of heard it cause they came to see what was happenign and they found me laughing my head off and telling katie that there was a bunny in the room, so she went to rescue it and the guys had a good laugh over that, and some of the girls did see ethan and jose carry a blanket type thing over to our dorm area, and so they were caught... while this was all happening, adair and a couple of the other girls that was the end of the pranks for that night...will moreroped in pablo(not one of the students there) to go and grab the guys swimsuits from there rooms so that they could wrap them in tinfoil and freeze them adn give it to them in the morning, they also amazingly enough got diego to help so he called all the guys to the office to talk to them about something while pablo went and got them, i came into the part where they were finishing makign them wet and wrapping them in tinfoil, they stuck them in the freezer telling the guys who wondered that it was burriotis for tomrow...anways a couple minutes later austin came and got them from the freezer....appaerntly werre not as sneaky as we thought....so that was a failed prank. so is there more to  come??!?!?! who knows...but what may of happend is starting a war between girls and guys! or maybe thats the end.... keep u updated! cheers!

Papers+Old People+Family Night

So yesterday was a good day, kinda really random stuff but good. So we had a hr of prayer or small group depenidng when you meet whether its on thurs or friday. I have an hr of prayer and i managed as well to finish my prayer paper yesterday! :) so its handed in and all good to go. Soo many ppl are doing it right now, its really funny, i try not to procastinate and so with that, i have started my paper on the book thats due next friday :) quite exciting! i just wanna get it done and over with. After lunch(i have lunch duty as my daily duty) we went to an old folks home place thing(forget the proper name) and they were cool. Some of them were really funny and there was one female who was in love with Cody, it was really funny. Literally your typical old people. We played bingo, it was pretty awesome, let me increase my understanding of numbers in spanish. After we had a family night after dinner and Mari(one of the 2nd sem kids) told us to come into our pjs. So at 7:15 we all gathered in the sala with our pjs. Some of the guys dressed up really funny with there pj pants pulled up really high and there shirt tucked in with high socks over there pant legs...it was intresting...and we first played never have i ever. that was really fun as well, learned stuff about ppl i never knew. we than did some really other random but fun games, some ppl had to balance a cookie on there head and only using their face make it to their mouth...the next one was eating a bowl of yougurt but you had a person behind you blindfolded and you had to direct them to your mouth(I did that one) it was a good one. Last it was a pineapple eating contest, 2 girls, a married acouple, and 2 guys made the teams and it was hilarious! such a fun night, after that Mari brought out homemade ice cream stuff and than there was costa rican cookies and marshmellows(they were really cool with the inside a different color than the outside) and than we ended up having a marshmellow catching with your mouth contest and the people who did it ended up whipping the marshmellows really really fast and hard and some acutally looked like it hurt. A few of us than went outside to play ninja! that was such a fun game! :) love it! and after everyone either went to bed or started to work on their papers, i ended up going to the kiosko to work on my book paper there and adam,austin and stephanie were there as well doing their prayer paper. Than i went to bed close to 11 and woke up this morning at 6 and went for a run! just a mile but im glad i acutally got up this time...cheers!

The Last Few Days (Since Sun When I Wrote Last)

So far my week has been good, i found out I got a A- on my first paper which is pretty exciting! Had a spanish test today which I think i did not so good on, but I did decent on my other one...so hopefully it evens out. Finished my prayer paper today just gotta get it proofread than it will be fini! :) For the caminata today I was with Steph! It was awesome, if your wondering who Steph is she is the blond haired girl I took all those pics with in the van!! lol. (there up on fb). Yesterday we went to a another ministry to check it out, it was a womens home for us girls to go to and a guys home for the guys to go to. It was pretty awesome, we played games, had cookies and juice and chatted. Monday was just an awesome day, got sooo much done and had awesome skype convos with jana, bryan and laura! On tuesday we had a another class on John, it was pretty awesome. And today we had work day, i got the joy of having to do the dorm bathrooms(thats where I am) and so me and Sam did them and it was pretty sweet. The one thing i like about work day is that after your work is done we are done for the evening!! :) im excited for tonight...dont really know what i'll do but something awesome hopefully! lol. cheers!

Most Randomest Sunday Ever!

So went to a new church on sunday, it was pretty awesome, i really really liked it. After church me and texican wanted to make brownies so we went to the megasuper in the pouring rain...it was great and there was no brownie stuff so we ended up making cake! but we werent sure where to go so kelsey suggested pica's house (hes one of the staff here but thats not his real name just a nickname) and so we went to his house but we heard voices so we didnt wanna go in so we kinda peeked around the corner and into his house but than we felt akward so we left and than as we were leaving he comes to do the door and is like uh, do you guys want something?? and so than we ask if we can use his kitchen and hes like yup so me and texican go make brownies. its really fun and than we chill and watch soccer with him and than becca joined us and pablo so than it was us 5 watching first soccer than this show(forget the name) than we started to watch you've got mail but than it was time for supper so we couldnt...but it was sooo fun!! apparently however a bunch of ppl were waiting for us to watch amovie as tahts what we were planning on doing but we forgot so they just watched it without us. but thats okay casue we had lots of fun at pica's house!! after supper a bunch of us went to tom's house(hes the director) and made cookies, had popcorn and m&m's and watched an episode of little house on the praiire with him, his wife and there 3 kids. it was soo fun!! than went to bed, really random dayy but soo fun!!! and today is mothers day in costa rica so we have no classes :) its awesome!! cheers!

White Water Rafting 101 + Guitar 101 + Cornado 101

So white water rafting was really really fun!!! my group was pretty sweet, and we had an awesome guy leading us. his name was Carlos and he was really fun and we did some crazzy things. Like flippping over our raft and brining the front into the air so we get like a straight up angle and what not. didnt fall off which was good but i did scrape my toe on a rock, but it wasnt really too bad, but it still hurts like no other even though its kinda tiny. Pics are up on fb so def check them out :) it was also raining a bit when we were on the lake! it was soooo nice!! the rain was really warm and wasnt cold at all...i really really love costa rican weather!!! and so on friday Cornado was really fun too. spoke some spanish and went around to different places, walking home got caught in the rain, it was awesome...kind of. But now i know how to get there so thats nice, and we have a long weekend because of mothers day on monday. so no class on monday :) yay! more time to finish homework.....lol. Im learning to play guitar, started 3 days ago. and i already know 5 cords and learning the beggining of blessed be your name and you and me by lifehouse.  im soo stoked to be learning guitar...finally! ive wanted to play it for soo long! thanks to rebecca and austin for showing me some stuff. rebecca is my main teacher but austin showed me start and cords of blessed be your name which im quite graeteful for as people are able to acutually teach me!! woo! cheers!

Football Game + Random

So we played soccer at the church yesterday. It was really really fun! we were split into 3 teams and we got to play for 2 hrs. i dont really know who won, but my team won a decent amoutn of games which is awesome.It was on a turft field and its really cool to play in the evening when the lights have to be turned on. So i was going towards the ball and somehow i fell and hit my back on the cement....it hurt quite a lot but funny thing is, i pulled a groin muscle and that hurt a lot. but you know me, i kept on playing which im glad i did because it doesnt hurt anymore. So today we are off to Coronado which is like this shopping area place thing. we have to talk to some random ppl and ask them to questions and than find that place and than after, have to do a presentation on it on mon....that should be intresting. Im super stoked! its gonna be so fun to practice speaking it. and of course us females can only ask females the questions. Makes sense and im glad for that rule. casue when ur a grenga(i dunno how u spell it but thats what "non ticos/ticas" are called you tend to get a lotta looks, whistles stuff like that beacause with our pale skin and blond hair and what not, we stand out quite a lot and we get a lot of attention which is unwanted! but what can you do. Ooo so me and adiar went to the ATM and bought ice cream yesterday by ourselves!! it was exciting!! first time on our own outside the gates :) and...WHITE WATER RAFTING IS TOMOROW! soooooooo excited!!!! :D cheers!

First Official Work Day/Caminata

So yesterday was a caminata which is walking with someone for half an hr. we have a sheet that shows who were with. I was with sara(who is toms wife) and so we went a bit earlier because she had to do errands and so texican was by herself so than i went with her and we ended up running around the track and listening to music. alll together with my run in the morning and in the afternoon i did 2 miles. it was kinda insane but awesome. After was work day and I with katie,rebecca and ethan got to watch the cars, took us a couple hrs but it was pretty sweet. 2 big vans and than a truck and a car to wash. it really wasnt that bad, first time washing a car so learned something new! On a side note, me and adair swithced beds and so now im on the bottom which wil be good as im scared still to sleep on the top. Spanish exam went well i believe, hopefully find out today what i got and my paper for the class "principals of the christian life" is due tomrow and im finished it!! i just needa print it and paste it in my book than im done! :) cheers!

Falling off the Bed and Ministrys

So 2 nights ago on mon evening i fell off the bed. Had a dream about big spiders on the ceiling and so than itried to get out of there but must of missed the ladder and fell down to the ground...it hurt. luckily god was with me and i only had a lot of bruises and a few cuts. Anyways i was in pain for the rest of the day. Apart from that yesterday was good. Had spanish class again, and a class on Juan. Almost done my paper thats due on friday on the principals of the chrisitan life! we also went to a kids home to hang out with kids, which is another possibltiy of a minisrty we can choose to do during the week. the kids are soo cute! i love them soo much! i really dont know what to choose...but i think we may have a couple more were doing before we acutually get to choose. Today i have a spanish exam, that should be intresting. I should prolly review my notes now...Cheers!

My Birthday in Costa Rica!

So I woke up and had a lovely start to my day. I went to go for a run thinking it was 6 since Adair was supose to set the alarm but she sent it an hr later and so i went to go for one and i ask someone the time since the table was set and they told me it was 7 10. so that made me rush and to top it off, i was having a shower and looked up and a spider was crawling on the wall...oh joy. and than i got out of the shower and banged my back on the corner of the wall. and that was morning. breakfast was good, at the end adair mentioned everyone should sing me happy birthday and so they did in spanish and english!! it was quite awesome! and after we had some worship than spanish class and than lunch and than off we went to a soup kitchen for kids as theres gonna be different ministires we look at and we can choose what we wanna do and that was that today so i gotta play with kids!! it was sweet! i lloved it soo much!! and than me and bunch of girls, went to POPs and this other smoothie place and we just chilled and hanged and had fun. Took a lot of pics and it was soo fun to hang out with them. and than supper happened and than there was a class on prayer and after that i finished my spanish homework. and now just chillin. defintly an intresting but sweet day for my birthday! cheers!

First Sickness of the Semester!

yesterday, In the morning some of us went to the farmers market and some of us bought a cocanut each and drank the juice from it(pics r on fb) and than i started to feel sick. So i gave it to Austin and he took some of it and said its sour, so i pretty much drank some sour cocunut juice...prolly not the best for me. anyways the feelign went away and than yesterday a bunch of us skipped lunch and went out to eat and shop and what not. and i was fine but than i got home, and got dinner and than i started to eat and i just felt awful, and so i quickly got up and left and than i just stayed in my room a bit and than i felt better adn went back to join the rest of supper but i must of looked really bad because ppl noticed and i got moved to the couch, given tea, and water and im pretty sure i drank 5 cups of liquid in an hr...it was kinda insane! and i was super cold despite me having a bunch of blankets and clothes on. anyways i ended up watching the emperors new groove with some ppl since we had a movie in the eveing and than i went to bed and literally passed out. and than this morning im pretty much 100%. we figured my sickness was from lack of sleep(from last night with the star trippin and what not) and than dehydration since i walked a lot and it was hot and i didnt drink as much as i should but the main factor being the sour cocunut juice...def an intrestnig experience!!! cheers!

It's Friday, Friday...(well was, nows it sat)

So yesterday was our last day of classes for the weekend! we had small groups in the morning, and than spanish class which i really should do the homework for today....and than we had our last class of the "principals of the christian life" and also have an assignement to do for that, luckily we have until friday :) classes ended at 4 and than went and had a quick but lovely shopping trip in the novacentro which we may be going to again today, in the evening everyone hanged and just chilled and than we saw a fair in the area so we got permission to go and we went to the fair, which had food, some rides, quite cool acutally. however when we came there everyone looked at us..why? because were a big group of white kids, it was kinda funny. some ppl went on some rides and it was pretty nice there overall and than we got back and we went to play sardines and me and texican...well we were the last ones and it toook us forever to find them!! and after that we went star tripping. now for those who hanvt done it, its when u concentrate on a star and spin really really fast and than when you"ve done that for a bit you get a light shone in your fast and for most ppl you end up falling, its really funny and really funny! some of us tried to run after or walk straight...it didnt work out too well. but def a keeper! im pretty sure we"ll be doing that again! After we ended up stargazing, all lying in a circle with our heads in the middle and there was shooting stars and loooking at stars and it was just really good for bonding and what not. When we got bored we went back to the main area place thing and Becca was sleeping on the couch, so we decided to move here outside. we took the couch and her and managed to move her outside with waking her up. left her out there for a bit while Austin took pictures/movie, and than she started to get cold but was still asleeep so than we moved her inside and than pretended to act all normal while we tried to wake her up...it took a decent amount, once shes out, she stays out but finally we got her up and to bed. it was soo funny! def a night to remember! Last night as well, i was laying in bed listening to my ipod and must of fallen asleep casue when i woke up and opened my eyes, i saw a face in front of me and i screamed...it was quite scary. turned out to be texican about to give me my ipod that fell off the bunk bed and was super loud that woke her up, we both scared the living daylights out of each other...kinda funny but awesome! cheers!
